Crash involving two semis and a passenger car halts traffic Monday afternoon

ONE PERSON WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL AFTER A CRASH INVOLVING A CAR AND TWO SEMI-S. IT HAPPENED ON HIGHWAY 13 ON MOUNT VERNON ROAD JUST AFTER 4P.M. . THE LINN COUNTY SHERRIFS DEPARTMENT SAYS 34 YEAR OLD FARUK BERBEROVIC OF CEDAR RAPIDS IOWA, HAD BEEN REAR ENDED AT THAT LOCATION BY A SEMI-TRACTOR TRAILER. THAT VEHICLE HAD BEEN DRIVEN BY 63 YEAR OLD MICHAEL R. BROWNELL OF WYOMING IOWA. THE VEHICLE WAS PUSHED FORWARD AND STRUCK THE SEMI-TRACTOR TRAILER THAT WAS IN FRONT OF HIM WHICH WAS DRIVEN BY 70 YEAR OLD JOSEPH L. LUTTER OF APPLETON WISCONSIN. BERBEROVIC WAS TRANSPORTED TO MERCY HOSPITAL FOR WHAT WERE BELIEVED TO BE NON-LIFE THREATENING INJURIES. THE OTHER TWO WEREN'T INJURED. BROWNELL WAS ISSUED A CITATION FOR FAILING TO STOP IN A CLEAR AND ASSURED DISTANCE
