Police: Man Broke Into Iowa City House, Slept on Couch

POLICE SAY A MAN FACES CHARGES FOR ALLEGEDLY BREAKING INTO AN IOWA CITY HOUSE AND SLEEPING ON A COUCH INSIDE.

IOWA CITY POLICE SAY 23-YEAR-OLD CHRISTOPHER REASONER, OF NORTH LIBERTY, HAS BEEN CHARGED WITH SERIOUS MISDEMEANOR COUNTS OF FOURTH-DEGREE CRIMINAL MISCHIEF AND TRESPASSING.

REASONER IS ACCUSED OF FORCING OPEN TWO CELLAR DOORS AND ENTERING THE HOUSE. A RESIDENT ALLEGEDLY FOUND REASONER ON AUG. 18 SLEEPING ON A COUCH.

POLICE SAY THE RESIDENT DID NOT KNOW REASONER AND DID NOT INVITE HIM TO SLEEP ON THE COUCH. REASONER LEFT AFTER THE RESIDENT REQUESTED IT. A BACKPACK WITH REASONER'S CONTACT INFORMATION WAS LATER FOUND IN THE BASEMENT.
